Rosewood, Pinot Noir

$39.50

An unfiltered pinor noir that is fermented using wild yeast. Light and juicy. Best served lightly chilled. Organic. Unfiltered. Local P.T.G. stands for Passe-Tout-Grains. Bourgogne Passe-Tout-Grains is an appellation d’origine contrôlée (AOC), for wine that’s from the Burgundy region in France. Traditionally Bourgogne Passe-Tout-Grains is made from a cuvée (a cuvée is a winemaker’s blend) of Pinot Noir and Gamay.

Rosewood’s blend is bursting with earthy goodness. It’s of the soil, of the earth; there’s a richness here, which speaks to the depth of the terroir in this particular area. This is a wine that’s meant to be shared with friends. Served slightly chilled, it’s wine to be talked about, discussed, while you find notes of cherries, hints of more red fruit and plum, which come through strongly. It’s a gorgeous colour, unfiltered, wild fermented, no sulfites added — which enhances everything about this wine. Juicy as fuck, floral on the nose, this is a crushable red, but one that’s meant to be savoured. With subtle richness and complexities, I could drink this nightly.
